My name is Rubén Gómez, I'm a professional programmer and sysadmin, also frequently playing with design, and entusiast about the technology that improves people's lives.
As an amateur programmer, along with two good friends, I won in the year of 1996 the second prize in the megademo compo at the Euskal Party with our work called “Hypnotic”.
My professional experience begun shortly after that in the videogames industry, being “Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines”, at Pyro Studios, the most relevant project I worked for. After that I worked for a while programming smart switchboard services using C++. Then I went all-in into the world of Internet webservices, as a sysadmin (BSD and Linux systems) and as a Full Stack developer, mainly over LAMP.
Currently I continue working as a Full Stack developer, for a nice international translation services enterprise, but I never stop being curious about IT and everything related to it.
